WHERE DOES THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?We are currently located in Kennesaw, GA, but we do not have studio. We are mobile and your session can take place your the office, a coffee shop, library, or anywhere else in the metro Atlanta area. Rather than standing awkwardly in a studio, we aim to make your session about you and your vision.

WHAT DO I WEAR?It’s important that your look matches the image you’re trying to convey. What you wear on a daily basis is a great place to start. Solid colors are always a good choice, as are tops with strong collars and necklines. Even though you’ll only be shot from the shoulders up, it’s important you’re pulled together from head to toe—you may want a shot or two that are pulled back a bit. Aim for clothes that complement your skin and eye tones and, overall, steer clear of very bold colors.

SHOULD I BRING EXTRA CLOTHES?It's always best to have a few choices that range in style and color. You may wish to have a professional look, a semi-professional look (featuring a richly textured sweater or simple blouse that could be worn in a business casual environment), or a laid-back look (casual long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirt). Try to bring a few options for each- if you want a look with more edge (leather jacket, etc), bring those items so we can discuss implementing them. Keep jewelry and accessories to a classic, elegant minimum. Use our clothing guide to help you pick out the right outfit.

WHAT ABOUT HAIR AND MAKEUP?It’s a good idea to enlist the help of a professional makeup artist in order to look your very best for your headshots. If you want to do it yourself, keep it simple - a coat of mascara, a subtle nude or rose-toned lip, a natural blush and a foundation that offers a natural, healthy-looking finish is ideal. The goal is for the makeup to highlight your best features without looking cakey or unnatural.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW TO BE READY?Before our session, think about all of the things that make up your personal brand and what you want others to take away from a glance at your profile page. Jot down some keywords and phrases and bring them to your shoot. Think about what exemplifies your personal brand to you. Are you a chef? An educator? A writer? Are there props that could help tell your story? Bring them along!

I AM NERVOUS, WHAT SHOULD I DO TO CALM DOWN?Our favorite type of client 😉. I promise you if you come in nervous you will leave super confident about your session. We have been doing this for over a decade and so we have develop different methods to help you overcome your anxiety. Your comfort is our priority. If you don't feel at ease, that's going to come through in the images, so we also recommend to engage in anything that helps you calm your mind and relax your body. Many clients have found that simply engaging in some deep breathing prior to the session has really helped.

WHAT WILL THE IMAGES LOOK LIKE?Corporate headshot. The corporate headshot is a traditional shot but this doesn’t mean it has to be boring. A good headshot is a great addition to your corporate profile and helps you create a professional first impression. Acting/modeling headshot. A professional headshot is a must for actors and models. It shows off your character and makes you look confident and credible. Biography headshot. When you spend countless hours working on a book, adding a professional, creative headshot to the cover of your book really makes it stand out. A good headshot also helps your audience relate to you more. Natural headshot. Some of the best headshots aren’t posed, if you would like to take a more creative approach you can opt for a shot that captures you working, laughing, or in an environment you are comfortable in. This type of portrait usually feels more authentic too.

CAN I HAVE THE RAW FILES?Unfortunately, we do not provide raw files of your images because they are unfinished and do not accurately represent our work here at Headshot Solutions and Beyond. However, you will have tons of photos to choose from and we will help you to choose the best photo to represent your brand.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY FINAL IMAGES?Once you have selected your image(s), business headshots will usually take 3-5 business days and event photography will be process with in 5-7 day to receive your photos.

WHAT ARE MY BACKGROUND OPTIONS?There are various background options to choose from and the choice you make depends on the mood and story that you’d like to portray. We have a range of available colors and can also provide a background color of your choice if given enough notice. Additionally, you bring your own background image or logo that will be added to your photo during the editing phase.

WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE LOCATED?We are based in Kennesaw, GA however we serve the metro Atlanta area as well as neighboring areas such as Roswell, Smyrna, Sandy Springs, Woodstock, Acworth, and Alpharetta. If you live outside those areas, let us know in our contact us form and we will see if we can accommodate you.

WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?Please aim to be on time, since we frequently have other customers scheduled on the same day. If you arrive late, your session time may be reduced. No reimbursements are given for missed appointments.
